Welcome aboard! My name is Steph, I am a painter, ceramicist, and visual artist inspired by everyday enchantment. By day, I teach preschool at a nature school and work as a naturalist, where intention, curiosity, and time outdoors shape the way I see and create.

Why Shipwreck Studio? My art studio lives in the top deck of an old ship nestled on my property in southern New Jersey. Once a day cruiser in Chicago, it now lives a quieter, land-locked life—filled with light, color, and creative magic. This unusual space deeply informs my work, which is playful, warm, and a little bit dreamy.

When I’m not painting you can find me with my wife and our son in our old farmhouse by the beach, surrounded by pines, seasons, and stories. My art, like my life, is made slowly and with care—meant to be held, lived with, and loved
